ICE makes UK carbon platform bid - FT.com
Three of the world’s largest exchanges are among those bidding to win the contract to auction Britain’s emissions trading allowances, after IntercontinentalExchange on Monday confirmed it had submitted a tender. ICE Futures Europe, the London-based operations of the US futures exchange, also said that UK regulators had given it recognised auction platform status, a stepping-stone to allow the platform to conduct carbon permit auctions.
